Fashion Look: The Starlet

I am so excited to be blogging about a very good friend of mine. Victoria and I have been friends ever since we were little. Victoria is an actress and its great to watch her grow as a very talented person. I have had a few chances to style Victoria.

Recently, my mom and I got the chance to style Victoria for a premiere she attended for a friend. The attire for this event was what I would say a casual-dressy. Victoria picked out a nude, kind of a dark nude, and black up and down zig-zag striped, spaghetti strapped dress. Her dress was pretty much like a long dress that would go perfect with the beach. But Victoria and I took the beach look to a "night-out" dress. We decided to go with a pair of the Jessica Simpson nude heals. The dress was originally kiss the floor length, but with the heels the dress is raised to a flattering height were the heels peak out from the dress.

Because the dress was spaghetti straps we felt the need to kind of cover up the skin Victoria was showing, since the evening was a professional occasion. First we decided on a gray long in the front, short in the back cardigan. Unfortunately we couldn't find the perfect cardigan. We decided to go with a skinny, long, shimmery silver-gray scarf with it looped once around her neck. The part of the scarf that hung on her back was long, while the front part was a little bit shorter than the back. For accessories we put skinny silver bangles that are connected into one bracelet first and then in front of the bangle bracelet we put a big silver bracelet. Because Victoria already had a necklace and her hair is a gorgeous accessory she already has, we didn't add any dramatic necklaces or earrings because she decided to wear her hair down.

Victoria looked stunning for her event. I think the look overall is a fun evening casual look. Also a good example of a dress transition from summer to fall. The summer is represented by the maxi dress and the winter is expressed by the scarf.

Check out Victoria on NBC's Revolution coming soon!
